Alcoholics Anonymous

A fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other, that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from Alcoholism.

Al-Anon

Is worldwide and offers understanding and support for families and friends of problem drinkers, whether the alcoholic is still drinking or not.  Alateen, a part of Al-Anon, is for young people aged 12 to 20 who have been affected by someone else's drinking, usually that of a parent.

  Cubs

8 to 10 year old boys and girls meet Friday evenings 18.30 to 20.00 during term time.

Friends of Factory Row

Set up to support the residents of the Factory Row project, now the Leonard Stocks Centre, a homeless hostel in Torquay, Devon.  Its activities are wide-ranging and include fundraising, befriending work and contributing to the spiritual life of the hostel. We also support other projects working with homeless people in Torbay.

Men’s Breakfast

A monthly meeting for men of all ages. From teenagers to the retired, we normally meet on the first Saturday of the month at 09.00 to enjoy a breakfast together, chat about things of general interest and have occasional speakers to open up a lively discussion.

Paignton Photographic Club

Use the premises of Paignton (Palace Avenue) Methodist Church on a Monday evening between October and April.

RU UP 4 IT

An impromptu social gathering, to which anyone is invited and most welcome to attend.  Please look for the poster at Palace Avenue Methodist church giving details of the upcoming "do"!!

  Scouts

10 to 15 year old boys and girls meet Friday evenings 19.30 to 21.30.

Torbay Inter-Faith Forum

Exists to bring together people who are interested in learning more about the beliefs and practises of different Faiths.  The Forum aims to foster greater understanding and friendship between people from different Faith groups.

Torbay Inter-Faith Forum 4 Youth (TIFFY)

Brings together young people of all faiths from Torbay Schools to meet and discuss relevant faith issues.

'Young at Heart' – Torbay

Aims to provide various activities and information for the over 50's in a friendly, caring and happy atmosphere - encouraging people to live a whole lot better.

Charity groups such as – RNLI; Guide Dogs for the Blind; Save the Children; Red Cross; Children's Hospice etc regularly use Palace Avenue Methodist Church premises for Coffee Mornings and bazaars.
